4th of July, ect...

My 4th was really nice. Most of the people at the call center had work off--the call center has to be open, but of course few people were calling--so they adjust the amount of agents working likewise. So me and 4 of my friends went to my friend's (Yasemin) summer home again. We just hung out by the pool, cooked, played some games, drank a bit :-) I am working normal hours now, and we all had to be at work at 9:30 am, so we took a train back to Istanbul early in the morning this morning.
Almost all my friends have this nice shift to do fun stuff at night, and the guys are quitting and going traveling and back to Ireland in a couple weeks...so I want to spend more time with them...Their last day they decided is July 31st. And Alan (who was teaching English) is quitting then too. They just got the technical experience they needed and are sick of talking on the phones...and want to get a real job back at home. So they are leaving and I guess they will have to find a new apt for me...but that will be a long time off cause it takes Turkish people ages to do anything, especially in this company...
The guys are going to go travel to the south of turkey on a little road trip and then going home. Paul though, is going to quit as well, and then after the trip, move in with Yesim and he is going to teach English i think, or maybe try to get re-hired at Siemens, but as a real employee (not trainee)and get paid much better as a normal employee. He has a place to live though, with his girlfriend, so he doesn’t have to worry about not finding a place to stay... No matter what, he will still be around so that is nice.

Hey Sarah, thanks a lot for the reply... you see, I'm on my last year in Electronics Engineer here in Brazil, and yes, I'm expecting a lousy job. I would never accept such job here in Brazil, since I have skills for projecting computers, not for just troubleshooting them.

BUT, dealing with foreign people by phone and in english, that's extremely positive for me, since I don't have many skills for that (engineers communicate awfully :). And putting a international Siemens traineeship in my resume is a nice thing.

So... i'll give it a shot. pls mail me lussari@gmail.com
