Since June...

I haven’t traveled far since my family was here (only to friend's summer homes...like outside Istanbul, on the sea, very pleasant and like a typical summer home village).
It was great to have the family around for a little and for them to see where I live. They liked meeting the Irish guys who I am with all the time. My family visited in the beginning of June and had really nice vacation all together in the South. It was nice and relaxing...
My job is much different now....This job is basically just more technical. When people call in with technical issues (like my cd player wont work, the computer battery wont power, i cannot connect wirelessly anymore, how do I activate the blue tooth device, what kind of USB port do I have, blah blah) I actually diagnose those issues, figure out the issue, try to reconfigure the computer and get it working. Basically, I have the knowledge now, to fix and guide cx's to solve any sort of software problem on the computer. When there is a hardware problem, like something is actually broken, or a piece of it is malfunctioning, I create an order in our system to have it sent to our repair center. There are lots of policies and rules and regulations (for any big company and repair and problems and issues) so I also have to learn more of those....
It is more stressful because you can be on the phone with someone up to an hour (or how ever long it takes) in order to guide them to try lots of thing on their computer to get it working properly. And also, there are many more calls, so it is much busier and there isn’t as much downtime. It can get frustrating when the person is like totally computer illiterate and it takes you 5 minutes to direct them into control panel cause they don’t know how to use the mouse or something....overall though, I like it, cause I am actually solving the customer's problems and making them happy :-)
